Ms. Fortune

This piece is a storyboard that I illustrated in the early spring of 2020. In this set of three illustrations I wanted to show a fortune teller giving someone an ominous reading. I enjoyed telling a story and being able to play with colors and lighting. I would say the most successful parts of these pieces are the background line work. I enjoyed using the almost neon colors to vaguely show the surroundings. It was a lot of fun and a different style for me. I also think the change of angles works very well. In the end, this project was very enjoyable and gave me an opportunity to develop a new illustrating skill and a new way to tell a story through my work.
